Description

TeWa Coated Acupuncture Needles

Smooth insertion, reliable conductivity, better control on longer needles.

TeWa Coated needles have a micro-layer of bio-inert, FDA-approved silicone that reduces friction as the needle goes in. Practitioners can reach target depth more easily, and patients feel less discomfort.

Each needle is bi-metallic: a stainless steel shaft paired with a traditional copper-wound loop handle. The copper handle conducts well for electro-stimulation. Needle tips are ground by automated machines, so every tip is consistent.

Needles 40 mm (1.5″) and longer come in the Safe-T Sleeve™, a two-part guide tube. Longer needles can bow or be hard to steady when inserted into dense or tight tissue. The Safe-T Sleeve™ helps you stabilize the shaft and complete insertion to target depth without compromising the sterility of the needle shaft.

Electro-Stimulation Safety Notice

The risk of needle breakage during electro-acupuncture is very low. However, research and data from Korean and Chinese sources indicate that electro-stimulation should not be applied to needles 0.18 mm or thinner. Finer needles may be more prone to shaft fatigue, coating stress, and corrosion during electro-stimulation, especially if the coating has been compromised.

Electro-stimulation remains safe across a wide range of clinical scenarios. This precaution follows international safety guidelines and reflects a commitment to high standards of care and patient safety.
